1. As per the initiative of Government of India about the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Regional Centre Delhi-3 has adopted a village “Surerha” located in the rural Najafgarh area. The village and its adjoining areas is inhabitated by the minority population belonging to communities like SC/ST/OBCs. A special drive /awareness campaign was organised about the university programmes and also the admission process. The campaign resulted in good enrolment from the area.

 

2. The Regional Centre took special initiative for increasing the enrolment and organised a series of meetings with the select Coordinators and Programme Incharges wherein it was impressed that all possible efforts should be made to enhance the reach of the University and also increase the enrolment of the students into various programmes. The result of this initiative has been very encouraging and regional centre has been registering increasing enrolment over the years.

 

3. Web-based support to the learners for providing information pertaining to confirmation of admission/Re-registration; distribution of study material; other important information about the schedule of various activities, uploading of counselling schedule etc. is regularly practiced.

 

4. In addition, section wise emails would be created at domain of IGNOU.ac.in, so that response to learner can be sent in time bound manner through most appropriate sources.
